Inkbox Filler System

A major franking machine manufacturer needed to fill plastic bag contained in boxes with ink. The bags had a protruding screw filling point and the requirement was for a fully automated filling line that would check the bag for leaks before filling, reject the bag if necessary, fill with ink, cap and check integrity of seal. Quadrant designed, built and installed a machine for filling these containers.

Camera Detection System
Capping is one of the last processes that occurs in most filling
processes. Any fault in the cap can lead to leakage, contamination of the product, and damage to surrounding packages. Quadrant have designed, built and installed a camera detection system that identifies incorrectly moulded caps so that they can be rejected before being used. The system operates at a speed of 1000 caps per minute and can detect 16 fault areas including faulty printing.

Can Shaker
Aerosol cans of shaving foam needed product mixing and removal of butane from the dip tube. In consultation with the client, Quadrant designed, built and installed a can shaker to handle up to 200 aerosol cans per minute and shake them as part of a flow line process.

Cardboard Tube Lidder
A major cardboard tube manufacturer needed a machine to apply lids to one end of the tube before being despatched to their various customers. Quadrant designed, built and installed a machine that forces the bottom into the tube and puts a chamfer on the other end so that the cap can be easily inserted by the customer filling the tube. The machine operates at 100 tubes per minute.

Depucker
Various sizes and shapes of glass or plastic perfume bottles are held in pucks to carry them through the filling process. At the end of the filling process these pucks had to be removed manually. Quadrant designed, built and installed a flow line machine to perform this task automatically.

Dip Tuber
Multipurpose aerosol filling machines needed dip tubes of differing lengths to be fitted to the aerosol valve. Quadrant designed, built and installed a flow line machine to carry out this operation at the rate of 150 valves per minute.

Membrane Machine
Membranes needed to be applied to aseptic type bag glands as part of the flow line process. Quadrant designed, built and installed a machine to do this at the rate of 60 cycles per minute.

Ozone System
Water systems need good sterilisation systems. Ozone sterilisation is regarded as one of the safest and most effective ways of doing this on water systems. Quadrant, in association with a well respected ozone generator manufacturer, designed, built and installed a flow line process to carry out this task.
